Myrtle & Huon Pine Box

Handcrafted from Huon Pine, this box features a striking lid made from richly figured Spalted Myrtle, showcasing deep tones and intricate natural patterning that make it a true feature piece. The contrast between the warm Huon Pine and the dramatic character of the Myrtle creates a unique, one‑of‑a‑kind design. This piece is offered at a discounted price due to minor imperfections on the back. While installing the hinges, the screws caused cracking in the timber, resulting in visible splits and slight misalignment at the rear. These flaws do not affect the overall function of the box but are reflected in the reduced price. A distinctive, character‑filled piece that highlights both the beauty and unpredictability of natural timber.

Please note: Timber is a natural material, and variations in grain, colour, and character are a defining part of its beauty. No two pieces are the same, and each item is unique. As a result, the appearance of your product may vary slightly from the images shown.
